Duke of Edinburgh

The Duke of Edinburgh Award is a nationally recognised programme offering a structured and rewarding way to develop resilience, leadership, and teamwork. Through a combination of volunteering, skill development, physical activity, and adventurous expeditions, students are encouraged to challenge themselves, try new experiences, and grow as individuals.

Open to all Sixth Form students, the programme provides opportunities to serve the community, pursue personal interests, and develop practical and interpersonal skills that will support future studies and careers. Participants progress through a series of levels, Bronze, Silver, and Gold - allowing them to set and achieve ambitious goals while receiving recognition for their commitment and achievements.

Whether you are learning a new skill, engaging in meaningful volunteering, or navigating a challenging expedition, the Duke of Edinburgh Award offers a unique chance to develop confidence, independence, and perseverance. It is an enriching part of Sixth Form life, valued by universities and employers, and a memorable experience that helps students grow both personally and socially.
