Duke of Edinburgh
The Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award is a nationally recognised programme that helps students build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills. Participants take on challenges across four areas: Physical, Skills, Volunteering, and Expedition.
At Holy Cross, we offer:
Bronze in Year 9
Silver in Year 10
Gold in Year 12
The Award encourages personal growth, independence, and community engagement. It develops teamwork, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, while giving students meaningful opportunities to contribute to society. It also enhances employability and future pathways, as universities and employers value the dedication and experiences it represents.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award is more than an extracurricular programme, it’s a journey that equips students with skills, confidence, and experiences that last a lifetime.
