School Uniform
All students in Years 7 to 11 are expected to wear the full school uniform. A high standard of personal appearance is expected of all students and anyone arriving at school in non-uniform clothing will be sent to St Teresa’s Student Support area until they conform to school uniform regulations.
Parents are asked to co-operate with the school by insisting that strict school uniform is worn correctly on the way to and from school and in school. Uniform should be clean and kept in good condition. All uniform must be clearly marked with the student’s name, as should all clothing, text books, exercise books and other property.
The Parents & Friends Association runs a Second Hand Uniform Shop where good second-hand uniform may be obtained. Grants from the Local Authority may sometimes be obtained towards the cost of the uniform. Parents should enquire for details from their Local Authority.

Books and Equipment
Most text books and exercise books are provided by the school. All parents will be asked for a book security of £20 (towards the cost of exercise books and the loan of text books). Students are responsible for the safety and proper use of such books. Lost or damaged books must be replaced at the student’s expense. All books should be given a protective covering and clearly marked with the student’s name on the label provided. It would be helpful if each student would equip herself with an English dictionary and a thesaurus. For Maths your daughter will need a mathematical set consisting of protractor and compass with its own H or HB pencil and a calculator (Casio calculators are recommended). Her pencil case should contain a blue or black pen for writing, pencil, rubber, pencil sharpener, red pen, black whiteboard pen, glue stick, scissors, ruler and colouring pencils. All this equipment will be in constant use in lessons. An A4 plastic wallet for letters and loose sheets would be useful.
Students are expected to provide their own equipment which, as far as possible, should be marked with the owner’s name. Felt-tipped pens are not permitted and if found in school will be confiscated.
