Four of our students elected to sit on the Kingston and Richmond Youth Council!

We are extremely proud to share the news that four of our students, Sofia (Year 8), Eleni (Year 9), Esther (Year 9) and Amelie (Year 13) were recently elected to sit on the Youth Council for Kingston and Richmond, ensuring the voice of young people is heard and acted upon in both boroughs.

The four students took the initiative to conduct their own research about the Youth Council, attended a candidate training course through Achieving for Children, prepared manifestos and presentations and ran in the election for Youth Council. Voting took place in schools and youth clubs across the two boroughs throughout the month of March. At an event held in Kingston attended by the Mayor, the students found out they had been successfully voted in. They will serve on the Youth Council for a period of 2 years.
