Parents & Friends Association (PFA)

We are a friendly bunch who meet approximately once half termly, usually on a Thursday evening, from 7.30pm – 8.30pm.

Our main purpose is to raise much needed funds for the school especially in the current climate of ever increasing cuts. Previous fund raising efforts have included hosting year 7 and 8 discos, Christmas Shopping Evenings, refreshments for Carol Services and Rock and Pop evenings. We also sell second hand uniform. In recent years this money has helped furnish the 6th form common room, buy tables for the art department and equipment for the High Tech room.

As a parent or carer of a child at The Holy Cross School, you are automatically a member of the PFA. There is an opportunity to get involved as little or as much as you like from simple things like the 50:50 club and the Giving Machine (generating commission for the school by shopping online), to helping at school discos or manning a stall at the Christmas Shopping Evening. Creative or practical fund raising ideas are always welcomed.
