Sixth Form Prospectus & Handbook
At The Holy Cross School Sixth Form, we place great value on the support and guidance we provide our students. Our partnership offers a warm welcome to both returning and external students. Within a friendly atmosphere of mutual respect, students, teachers, and support staff work together to foster self-confidence, enthusiasm, and commitment.
“The curriculum is excellent for meeting a wide range of individual needs. Students’ personal development is outstanding and this is bolstered by excellent care, guidance and support.” Ofsted
With over 450 students and a wide range of academic and vocational subjects, our Sixth Form is a thriving community where every student is valued and supported. Individual co-construction meetings with senior staff ensure that students select courses tailored to their talents, helping them achieve sustained academic progress.
All courses are delivered by subject specialists, many of whom are trained examiners. Students are encouraged to be active learners from the outset, developing independent thought, research skills, and effective learning habits. Progress is closely monitored so that every student reaches their full academic potential.
Our holistic approach extends beyond academics. Students have opportunities to take part in leadership roles, overseas travel, cultural trips, work experience, and voluntary work in the community. These experiences help develop well-rounded young people equipped with the life skills to make a successful transition to university and beyond.
