On 23rd September 1931, 88 years ago today, Sr Christina and two other Sisters opened the Holy Cross Convent School with the first 5 pupils pictured below. The original house front remains and is the school’s main entrance. Today, in 2019, with circa 950 students on roll, the school has grown considerably yet the unique characteristic warmth and family community spirit which are at the heart of this exceptional and outstanding school community, live on.
