A number of Holy Cross staff volunteering for a local community sewing group (Sewing for Kingston – Surbiton CCRG) have been making laundry/drawstring bags, face masks, hats, ear savers and gowns for key workers in the Kingston/Surbiton area. Some of our Year 8 students yesterday spent their time decorating the laundry bags (while practising social distancing!).
The bags are used by key workers to take home their contaminated uniform at the end of their shift. The bag can then go directly in the washing machine, reducing the chances of spreading the virus to their families. #supportNHS #NHSheroes #Sewing4Kingston #NHSworkers
