The James Dyson Foundation provided the school with several ‘Engineering Boxes’ containing Dyson machines and the equipment for students to discover design clues and learn how machines work. The Engineering Box is a reverse engineering kit that takes students through the design process by disassembling a Dyson machine.
Google Expeditions are visiting Holy Cross today delivering virtual expeditions to all KS3 students. Using headsets, students are enjoying going on virtual visits (with 360 degree views) to a number of locations around the world including an underwater encounter with sharks at the Great Barrier Reef, views from the 42nd floor in the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building in Dubai and a number of active volcanoes.
20 girls in the school choir together with Music students from the Sixth Form performed The Messiah at The Royal Albert Hall with over 1500 other young singers from church, school and youth choirs across the UK, Ireland and Italy.
The concert was conducted by Ben Parry with the English Festival Orchestra in support of WaterAid.
Well done to everyone involved for working so hard over the last few months rehearsing the music. Their performance was outstanding on the day and the experience was amazing!
