Year 11 and 13 students visited The Guardian in London this week where they were able to participate in web development and UX design workshops. Students also had the opportunity to speak to a diverse range of women who are working in the technology sector across London and talk to men and women at The Guardian working in their mobile, web, app and product teams.
A huge well done to all the Key Stage 3/4/5 students who were actively involved in the BIG DRAW event last week in the Art department. The Big Draw brings together the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths. STEAM, as it is known, combines creative innovation, enterprise, digital technologies and the arts. The Big Draw not only shows us how drawing can have social economic and health benefits, but also provides an opportunity for everyone to access them.
