We are proud to announce that earlier this week Year 11 student Charize Orio was named one of the top ten finalists in the National Mosaic Art Competition hosted by Specialist Crafts Ltd. We are proud to announce the school has been awarded the World Class Schools Quality Mark after successfully completing the final assessment stage. The award ceremony took place at Churchill College in Cambridge last week.
The assessment process was an extremely demanding one undertaken by students over the course of the year culminating in a challenging assessment day in Leeds on the 29th November. The award evaluates whether the schools’ students can demonstrate the skills and competencies of the World Class assessment framework and measures young people’s readiness for the world of work and life in the 21st century. Only 20 schools throughout the UK were nominated and of those, 16 were awarded World Class status. Huge congratulations to our wonderful students and staff!
